I know that with all the rushing that we do we can sometimes not allow ourselves to bring in some simple things that will give us a well deserved boost in energy. I said in the first issue that I will cover many areas of healing and health so here’s one for those that want to boost their energy and look great.
I am fortunate to have a sister that has done nutrition in college and she’s always giving me tips on what is best for energy boost. I have asked her to give me some tips to share with you for this month, so below is a little guidance that you can follow.
TIPS FOR GOOD ENERGY!
FOODS FOR ENERGY!
VEG
The main foods in the vegetable area which provide high amounts of energy are; sprouts, broccoli, asparagus and spinach.
****A nice stir fry with a small drizzle of olive oil is great with this a small piece of chicken.
NUTS
Some nuts are a great energy source and are often very suited to a quick snack. Almonds, peanuts and soy nuts are perfect. I use cashews a lot but only the unsalted and roasted and they are filling with a nice glass of juice.
YOGHURT
Yogurt is full of vitamin-B, and this vitamin helps your body convert other nutrients into energy. You should not eat excessive amounts of yogurt due to the fat content
EGGS
Eggs are a great source of energy, and this food will supply a high amount of protein throughout the working day. Some experts advise not to eat more than three eggs a week, so try to mix your weeks food plan up with other high energy foods.
PROTEINS-MEATS
Chicken, smoked fish, bean salad or lower fat cheese
SEEDS
Sunflower and pumpkin seeds are also a great source of energy for your body. These are great as a stand-alone snack, and also combined with other ingredients in nut bars.
WHOLEGRAINS
All whole grain foods are good for energy because they release energy slowly throughout the day.

Take a few moments this month to reflect on the wondrous things you have done in your life, see what things jump out at you and which ones you would like to best known for. These are times that when you feel a little lost and we all do at some time or another, let these be the ones that bring the happiness back into your life.
We are going to have a fabulous summer, I’m sure of that, so why not make some more wonderful memories.
What I would like to mention is how important it is for you to be you. We are all aspiring to be better than we were yesterday and some of us look up to others as role models, and in doing so we start sometimes to imitate those that we aspire to be like. In doing this we can get lost.
Others can easily see you for who you are, but we only true see what we are when in front of a mirror, most of the time. So while you are reflecting on those wondrous moments in life, see the differences that you have made to those people that have chosen to weave their life into yours.
Your actions say more about you than any words could ever. When you see who many people have benefitted from your work, your kind deeds you see the nature of the Divine within you. You can see that you are helping others they way that we should all be doing while here in this world. You are allowing the light of Source shine through you and you are in an everyday way channelling the energy and love of Spirit.
It is important of course to take time for yourself, but if you do just one act of kindness, maybe not a day but a week, you are being true to not just only you, but to Spirit to, for you are doing the job that any Spirit Guide would do, just in human form. Like our own guides some are there for life others for a few moments, but see that for even one single moment that you help someone, that moment could change that person’s life.
See that you are able of taking on the role as a guide and mentor and you will not only be helping others and yourself, but you are helping Spirit too.

With all this fine weather that we are having why not try do a meditation outdoors. This does not have to be a meditation that involves sitting on the one spot. Live in the wonders that surround you for those special moments that you are out there.
When we gaze upon an object we allow ourselves to become transfixed on that subject matter, we don’t care what else is happening. Why not try this, take a walk in a local green space just at dusk and allow the rhythms of nature be your music to help you zone out. The singing birds can be your music.
Use this opportunity to connect with Spirit. Feel it in the heat of the sun, the wind around you and the songs of the birds. They all praise the natural world and the simplistic life that exists within it. Feel these natural energies become a part of you and know that you can become more relaxed when you allow your own energy to be part of this natural cycle.
Find along your walk somewhere to sit for a moment and take it all in. Give thanks for this day and strange as it may sound give thanks to yourself, your body and mind, for what each part has done for you this day. Scan your body and notice if there are any areas that feel as if they need some healing. Any areas of discomfort breathe in some gentle ways of energy to sooth this area and begin to feel the discomfort being removed.
If you have done Reiki why not at this point why not use the Reiki symbol of Choku Rei and just empower your own being.
Allow yourself to feel your own strength grow and feel empowered. If you have not done Reiki, just take a few deep breaths and you will feel the same effect.
Take advantage of this great weather and see how much better it makes you feel.

One example is a rock climber, he goes out with friends and they have all their equipment- ropes, harnesses and carbines. They have everything set up and they start out on the rocks. As he gets to the top he decides to abseil down the rock face. In order to do this another guy needs to hold the rope so that it doesn’t move to fast. The rock climber then trusts their friend with their life as it is indeed in their hands as they are holding the rope, so that it doesn’t slip and cause the climber to plummet to the ground. This is a real understanding of knowing another’s ability and identifying their traits.
If we look at the word TRUST with an in-depth approach we can see a true meaning of the word.
T - Talents, knowing your abilities and what you are capable of is very important, as with this we can see the good qualities and traits that you have and by understanding these traits in yourself you can see the fully in others.
R - Respect, when you know yourself properly and deeply you must find the area of respect within yourself, so that you can learn to respect others, for if you cannot treat yourself with respect how can you honestly say you respect others.
U - Understanding, once we have a mutual level of respect for each other we can also have mutual understanding also. This allows us to explore the personalities of the people we know so that we each the full benefit of helping and working together.
S - Self belief, believing in yourself to such a degree that you know that anything for you is possible and that you can always turn a cant into a can, a wont into I will. You will be able to see that nothing is impossible; because you have the inner knowing that you can and will succeed.
T - Training, allowing yourself to experience new things that make you explore more of your inner self. Seeing that the more you do, the more you experience and therefore there more you can emotional, socially and spiritually grow by.
When you trust in yourself you can eventually see that the whole world opens up to you and that you can achieve anything that you set your heart on. You can also the help others to truest in themselves too, as you have the knowing needed to understand what that person you’re helping needs to bring about the sense of believing themselves and rind their inner spirit that has that sense of trust.
May you all find what you are looking for in life and be guided from this side of life and the next.

New Year, New Start
Well I hope everyone is feeling much better from the cold snap that we have all been experiencing and that collectively maybe we can put our thoughts tighter for a warm summer full of wonderful sunlight and no rain.
Over the next little while I would like to have a look at different methods and ways of looking at the aspect of healing that we can use on a regular basis. There are many different types of healing out there from Spiritual healing, Reiki, and Yoga to other simple everyday things, like drinking plenty of water that can be implemented to help keep a balance within our bodies both physically and spiritually.
With us just passing the first month of the year, have you being keeping your new year’s resolutions? It has been proven that the majority of people that set goals at the start of the new year, never keep them after the first few weeks. This is sometimes due to some goals been too large to start with.
With the first few days of February dawning, why not consider some short term goals that maybe only have to last the month then reassess them at the end of the month, so that you can clearly see if an overall goal can be achieved. When you have achieved this objective award yourself with a little treat, have that piece of cake, buy that new item of clothing that you have been staring at in the shop window.
One area that I am sure many of you can identify with is that you are living a very hectic life and that everything seems to come at you all at once, without even have a moment to stop and refresh your thoughts. Maybe even one of your goals could be as simple as taking two hours a week just for you. Be that a very long soak with some sea salts to revitalize the bodily energies, or even a large mug of hot chocolate and a good book; but above all just ensure you have those precious moments for yourself.
Another area that I would like to mention to help well being is breathing. Anytime that you feel nervous or anxious, stressed and not yourself remember there is one simple cure, one deep, meaningful breath. It is something I feel we never even think of as we do it all the time, but do we actually take enough deep breaths?
Every second of our life we have our body working totally independently of our thoughts, this process does everything that is need for the body to survive, but if we do a little extra we can help improve the efficiency of the body and then when it comes to relaxing and meditating, connecting with Spirit, the body can be more in the right condition. As the saying goes ‘Healthy Body, Healthy Mind’, but I am sure that we can equate that to ‘Healthy Mind, Healthy Spirit’. We know that each of the energy bodies are interlaced and connected, so then the breath is the most vital part of the whole connectivity.
The following is a simple exercise that you can do every day, in the mornings to give a great start to the day, the evenings to unwind or anytime that you feel that you need to balance your inner state or mind and being.
Exercise 1
Take a couple of regular breaths, but as you do so breath in for three seconds, hold for three and then out for three. Repeat the process three times.
Next, repeat the pattern of breath of stage one, but this time hold for six seconds.
Next, allow yourself to take what I call a fully belly breath. This is where you allow your breath inwards, right the way down to your belly and see your tummy expand a little. This is due to the fact that you are not just breathing from the top of your lungs, your breath from the very bottom of your lungs. The breaths are great for meditations and all round relaxation.
Repeat this step three times.
Finally repeat step one, and your breath returns to a normal every day rhythm.
N.B, Do not hold your breath if you have any blood pressure conditions. Just perform these steps without holding your breath, but all you need to do is add another repetition to compensate.
